Updating
Update it after you used it one with a full-sized class.
After that, you'll probably want to revise it each time you use it, which is probably annually. And if it gets to be more than three years old without a revision, it's probably too old to use.
Here's a list of things that are most likely to result in changes:
- The basic information itself might change, depending on your topic. In computing, this has particularly been the case.
- You'll probably get lots of feedback from users. In fact, if you find that something doesn't work for a lot of people, you may need to issue an emergency update or patch to fix it.
- You'll also probably get lots of feedback from tutors. They can give both their own opinions and those of their students. You might find that some tutors get bored after teaching teh smae subject more a couple of times. Definitely worth a discussion.
- You will probably have lots of new ideas for improvements.
- You might want to update the appearance, although you need to keep it recognizable as the same product. Consider:
- logo
- fonts (typography)
- layout
- color systems
- graphic styles
- hair and clothing styles
- furniture and building styles
- branding (e.g. slogans and logos)
