Seminars and workshops

With thanks to John Clapton, YouthCARE

For the purpose of this e-book, Seminars are distinguished from Workshops by the nature of the content. Seminars clearly have a knowledge focus and are generally teacher/lecturer based. Workshops clearly have a practice focus.

Both offer the advantages of being delivered in fairly intimate smallish groups and being very focussed on a single facet. The scope of the facet being addressed dictates the time involved; some are very short, an hour or so, while others may be a full day in length.

They lend themselves to be delivered as electives at more comprehensive events as well as creating opportunity to tap into the expertise of outside individuals.
